Useful Details

A short description is enough to start. If you can, include:

  • The page title or web address and the information you need.

  • What you were trying to do and what prevented it.

  • Your preferred way to be contacted or receive the information.

Your browser, device or assistive technology, such as a screen reader, may help explain the problem, but these details are optional. You do not need to disclose a disability or send medical information, passwords, payment details or identity documents.

Access Requests

Steve Mackey is the contact for access requests. The aim is to understand the barrier and discuss a usable way to provide the information. This may involve asking a follow-up question, explaining information by email or phone, or addressing a website issue.

The time needed depends on the request and whether a website-platform or third-party change is involved. Reporting a barrier helps identify what needs attention; it does not require a technical diagnosis from you.

Approach and Target

Website design and review work focuses on clear headings, readable text and contrast, keyboard access, useful text descriptions for meaningful images, and layouts that adapt to smaller screens and enlarged text.

The design target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. These guidelines help make web content easier for people with disabilities to use. This is a target, not a claim of verified whole-site conformance or certification. Comprehensive testing across browsers and assistive technologies has not been completed.

Reading and Moving Around

Use your browser’s zoom controls to enlarge the page. With a keyboard, use Tab and Shift + Tab to move between links and controls, and Enter to activate a link. The “SKIP TO CONTENT” link moves past the site navigation to the main content.

Third-Party Content

Linked websites and services supplied by other providers can have different accessibility features and limitations. If one prevents you from accessing Mackey Safari & Fine Arms International’s information, tell Steve which content you need so an alternative can be discussed. A third-party limitation does not make your access concern less important.
